In the jargon of Networking Coach a workshop is a short experience of the power of networking.

Often people who want to improve their results for themselves or their organisation first follow a networking workshop and choose afterwards which networking or referral training course they want to attend.

What's Your Sticky Story©?

In sales training courses words as 'sales pitch', 'elevator pitch', 'elevator story', 'elevator speech' are often heard. We take you to the next level= the Sticky Story©, your personal introduction that is made to stick with the people you meet.

It is the answer to the question ‘And What do you do?’. In a very short time you have the chance to present yourself accurately, powerfully and briefly.

What is an Elevator Pitch (or Elevator Speech), an Elevator Story and a Sticky Story©?

  • Elevator Pitch or Elevator Speech: an Elevator Pitch or Elevator Speech is used in a sales conversation to attract a potential customer's attention with the purpose that he asks more questions about what you have to offer.
  • Elevator Story: an Elevator Story is used in a conversation whether it's a sales talk or a conversation which is not sales oriented.
  • Sticky Story© goes one step further than an Elevator Pitch, Elevator Speech or Elevator Story. A Sticky Story© is a powerfull and short presentation of yourself. Due to the formulation of your story, you will be remembered easily and more over they can tell your story to other people. This is crucial as we know that the power of networking is in the second degree!

How to REALLY use LinkedIn

These days online business networks like LinkedIn (and also Xing, Ecademy and Facebook to name a few others) are everywhere.

What we have noticed is that many people have made a profile and connected with some people and then stopped using them. The question many people now ask is: "Why should I use them (how does it actually benefit me)?", "What do I do with them?" and also "How do I deal with them in an effective and efficient way?"

Content of the basic workshop "How to REALLY use LinkedIn"

These are some of the topics of this LinkedIn workshop:

  • What can the added value of LinkedIn be for or within the organisation I work for?
  • What can I use these networks for anyway?
  • How can I use LinkedIn to reach my goals faster?
  • Which groups are the most interesting for me personally?
  • What does a good profile look like?
  • How to build a network on LinkedIn (fast)?
  • How do I write a good invitation to connect?
  • How do I react to invitations to connect?
  • How do I deal with LinkedIn and other websites without spending too much time?
  • What are the most common pitfalls and how can I avoid them?

Next to the insights the participants get, they also do some exercises on paper and on the computer.

Remark: this session can be adapted/expanded depending on the profile of the participants. For example we have special sessions with advanced strategies for:

  • Account managers, business developers, owners of companies and everybody else who has a (partial) sales profile
  • Recruiters
  • People who are looking for a first or new job (whether via outplacement or not)
  • Students
  • Project managers
  • Members of a referral or network club
  • Directors of a professional or trade organisation
